"Sawdust Mountain"


On a dull Sunday afternoon the Bloggist and his friend Alfred Jarry admire a previously unrecorded early Anish Kapoor sculpture. Situated a mere 59.9 miles from Oozells Street, Birmingham, the piece now resides in a little visited yard in Northamptonshire.

The uncaused first cause

Moses Maimonides in the 12th century and Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century used anthropic arguments to trace back to an uncaused first cause and, to them, the only possible uncaused first cause was John Brown.
