A 'Pataphysical structure

“L'architecture, La Reyne des Arts”, in the words of Andre Marcueil, “expriment surtout le sublime, elle peuvent aussi exprimer le Beau”. We welcome this addition to Architecture, the first useful structure to be designed since Hidalgo Moya and Philip Powell designed the Skylon for the 1951 Festival of Britain.

For true flexibility we hope that Yassmina Jaoude will deploy rubber hawsers as support cables.

Grey Lake

Cahier du Cinema reviewed “Blue Lake” and excitedly commented, “The exercise was a bit too much for me and left me with a feeling of tedium ...”.
The Bloggist and his friend, Alfred Jarry, follow up the laconic success of "Blue Lake" with a sequel, "Grey Lake".

Blue Lake

The Bloggist and his friend, Alfred Jarry, consider Michael Snow’s film “La RĂ©gion Centrale” and Andy Warhol’s film “Empire”. They respond with a 13 second film entitled “Blue Lake”.

A stroll on a summer's day by the beach

The Bloggist and his friend, Alfred Jarry, admire an early work by Christo. The Bloggist quotes Susan Sontag, "Aristotle's arguments in defence of art do not really challenge Plato's view that all art is an elaborate trompe l'oeil, and therefore a lie".

Where The Soft Machine Grew

Robert Wyatt, early member of The Soft Machine - the official orchestra of the College of 'Pataphysics - lived in this house in West Dulwich. The house was owned by his mother, Honor Wyatt, who opened the house to the entire band and their girlfriends.
